Yi-Wen Liu uses dance and performance in her visual arts practice, a knowledge of which she acquired through her prior training in choreography.  

​

The additional skills in photo-media & video that she developed during her studies in Visual Art at Central Institute of Technology have resulted in her innovative and experimental blend of dance, performance, photography, ceramic sculpture and installation.

​

Liu is interested in translating her personal philosophies and experiences into visual form, revealing what can be sensed beneath the layers of verbal language.
